Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation, General Engineering Consultant Professional Services
AEPAC held a General Engineering Consultant for Professional Services with JACOBS to satisfy the CFR 36 800.1 Section 106 requirement for the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) 20-mile, 21-station commuter heavy rail system for the City and County of Honolulu.
AEPAC provided Historic Architect services in the following capacity:
• Secretary of Interiors Historic Architect Section 106 review of Halawa Station design adjacent to Pearl Harbor, National Historic Landmark. Oversight included creation of Treatment Plan that all Preservation Partners agreed to and continual review of compliance to said Treatment Plan.
• Creation and submittal of National Register of Historic Places Nomination Forms, HABS documentation and cultural resources studies to include Hawaiian History, Hawaiian toponymy, Hawaiian language sources and identifying historical relevance or impacts to Native Hawaiians from Europeans and Euro Americans, Chinese, Japanese, Filipinos and other ethnic groups.
