Building 417 Exterior Preservation, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam
AEPAC served as the lead Principal/Historic Architect for this rehabilitation building project. Building B417 was built in 1914, is a Category I structure in the Naval Magazine historic management zone of the Pearl Harbor National Historic Landmark. Design-Build Project requirements included rehabilitation of the historic stucco, repairs of windows and casement storm doors, and new fire sprinkler system. AEPAC ensured that the proposed solution to the RFP requirements met the Section 106 Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation of Historic Buildings. Our recommendations followed the 2003 Commander Navy Region Hawaii (CNRH) Programmatic Agreement (PA) to categorize and determine all effects/impacts the proposed solutions have on the existing facility and its surrounding landscape.
